True, though he says it's not due to disbelieving her claim against Biden. The whole thing about lying regarding having earned a degree is pretty shady on her part, though. Claiming the school having no record of her having earned a degree was due to her being part of a protected program to shield her identity? I believe this decision was made after there was an investigation into Reade's credibility as an expert witness. Apparently she likes to make things up. But yeah, I'm sure her story of being fingered by the guy she praised and cyber staked for decades is legit.

She certainly appears to have credibility issues. It's not good to have lied about being degreed. But it's another level of problematic to then attempt to defend it by claiming the school has not record of her degree due to her having been in some weird protection program. That's more than a red flag she has something going on.

If Trump or some individual organization supporting Trump got her to make up the whole thing, it would be far from the first time someone fabricated a false narrative to help Trump or discredit democrats or liberals. This incident has actually been quite instructive. Woman files report, people listen, take it seriously, investigate, find out this one is BS, put it in context.

That's the way it's supposed to work.

Well, since the GOP doesn't govern, and don't make any bones about that (they are anti-government, after all; they say government sucks and prove it by being themselves every day), making up BS is pretty much their full time job. Lucky for them, they have plenty of willing participants in their base to help. Plus, they have plenty of experience being corrupt, so their stories ring true if you just replace them with whoever they happen to be accusing at the time.

She seems to be a person who has had a very sad life. In the past she evidently got quite a few people to trust her for varying lengths of time, but has ended up making them feel that they had made a mistake.
