Again the link paints a different picture. Over time active Evangelicals started supporting him especially after the nomination was sewn up. But before that, especially in late fall through February the distinction between the very religious and the less religion (but still self-identifying as Evangelical) was fairly significant. Again the Vox link goes through some of that data.
