To Midgley and Peterson and others, all lives matter.....if they conform to Mormonism, otherwise, they are just apostates, and it is fair game to go after them vehemently. To Midgley, all Maori lives matter......er, if and only if they drop their own culture and beliefs and become Mormons. Otherwise their value is minimal.
They do this with all subjects, religious or scientific. Science is fantastic....so long as it confirms Joseph Smith's revelations, otherwise, meh.......

When I am not exactly despicably "white" either. So a certain jerk who keeps sending me email messages moaning about me being a white male and hence necessarily a racist..., I need not go on about this kind of idiocy.

https://www.patheos.com/blogs/danpeters ... 4976389087
We know from following the story in real time that the “keeps sending me” messages part is without a doubt not true at all. And it is absolutely not true that people’s complaints about Midgley’s racist and bigoted comments were because he is a white male.

It makes me wonder how many of the victimhood stories told by Mopologists have a similar lack of foundation in truth.

They’re about as real as the so-called MormonDiscussions.com stalker who sends Dowsin’ Dan Peterson emails. He was already busted making up some larping quotes from his “stalker”, so anything these fools say in that regards is taken with a truckload of salt.

He means me. Although we are about even on emails. Out of a bit of respect to him I won’t post what he has written. I imagine he has a thread on me over on skinneyL complete with my emails along with a bounty on my IRL identity.

Oh, for sure. However, the way he words it he makes it seem like you’re barraging him with abusive emails a la Dubious Dan Peterson’s “stalker.” No one believes his ____ because he’s Lyin’ Lou Midgley.

He most certainly is a victim. He is just unaware he is a victim of a scheme called Mormonism. He keeps drinking the poison thinking its the cure,

so true, philo.
Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.

LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

So.... it’s been a while since I checked in on Loopy Lou Midgley. On Dodgy Dan Peterson’s personal blog, under some article moaning about being disinvited from speaking somewhere, The Lounatic brings up the congenial gemli, once again, out of the blue:

“Louis Midgley > Jack

Jack is right about academics, especially if they publish in the humanities, which includes history, and so-called "social sciences," or what the Germans call Geisteswissenschaften, rather than Naturwissenschaften.

Professor Peterson once called attention to the fact that in German the sciences are dealt with in ways that mash the dogmatic religion of gemli, since gemli has a very narrow understanding of what constitutes science, and also a poor grasp of what gemli imagines constitutes both science, and religion, which gemli never even tries to actually define, other than it being a way of understanding the natural world, and never being able to explain such things as why water runs down rather than up hill.“

I checked to see if gemli was posting on Sick and None, but he hasn’t posted in three days! Bananas!

Good Sunnandæg, everyone. My wife and I are comfortably ensconced on our couch after a 14-mile walk this morning. We’re training, as it were, for an upcoming 170-mile communion with nature, and as I’m luxuriating in repose feeling my heart pulsate throughout my sore feet (and watching an episode of ‘Grand Design’ as additional indulgence), this thought occurred to me, “I wonder how our Saturday’s Warrior is spending his Sunday?”

I clicked on Lounatic Midgley’s disqus profile and promptly saw this bitter little pill posted to a blog entry by his friend who, apparently, advocates that the Washington football club retain its racist moniker instead of changing it to something less offensive:

“Louis Midgley > Moksha

I am in favor of changing Moksha as a name to Dunce. All in favor...”

Waging war, indeed.

One day, when they find the Second Watson Letter, they might also find this mythical document:
Midgley wrote:When Elder Packer delivered his talk on the Mantle, I defended him. And very soon I was sent a nice note from him through the Associate Academic Vice-President, who was then over Religious Education at Brigham Young University from Elder Packer. He thanked me and then indicated that I would now be in trouble with some for doing what I did. He was right.

My wife wanted to preserve that note but somehow I managed to toss it away. Rats.
Lol! Sure.

Notice the rhetorical role his wife tends to play in his stories. He wouldn't have thought about aggrandizing himself by keeping a note from 'KKK' himself, assuring him how great he is; it was his wife who wanted to keep it! That keeps him humble, and adds credibility to the story -- there was somebody else who interacted with the letter. And again,

"I should have found a way resigning in protest over the mess he was soon to make of the Maxwell Institute. But my wife begged me not to resign. But later apologized for not allowing me to go out on my own terms."

What's he saying here? That He was able to see the future? Bradford hadn't made a mess of the Maxwell Institute yet, but Midgley sees it coming, and decides to resign. Notice how he says, "should have found a way..." -- what does that mean? Don't tell me leaving the MI is like leaving the mob or something. Again, his wife adds credibility to his story that he wanted out long before anything serious had happened yet.

Lot's of other great revelations in this one. Bradford had exactly 2 friends in the entire world. Who was the other one?

Lou is all rhetoric and no substance. All these faith promoting stories and literally no way to actually verify them.......kind of like Joseph Smith's First Vision, or the visit of John the Baptist, or Peter, James and John, or that very pure and holy pissed off angel with the flaming sword. Boyd K. Packer liked Lou! Oooooooooo shiver me timbers! My good lard, Lou-na-tic is almost high enough in the pecking order with Boyd K. Packer's mantle as to have his very words considered scripture now.....

Professor Louis Midgley
Political Science Department
BYU, Provo, Utah

Dear Lou,

I suspected you would misplace this gossamer letter, so I am sending a replacement copy to the future. I was happy to hear that you supported my statement that whatever we Brethren conjure up is more important than anything you so-called "scholars" produce. I wasn't sure any of the professors would believe that statement, but I knew they would play along because we have the power to fire them.

Consider this a get out of jail free card for any untoward apologetic hijinx you might unleash in the future.

Your Commander,
Elder Boyd K. Packer

It should be noted that as of late the Lounatic has dropped any self-control with regard to attacking Moksha and consistently attacks him personally virtually any time Moksha posts on Sick and None. For example, Moksha has a clever comment to this post:

Nancy Roper Hymas

I've been doing a dive into the life of Herod. He was a very evil guy, maybe even worse than you, Dr. Peterson! ;)

————

Moksha > Nancy Roper Hymas

10 hours ago edited

Are you suggesting that Herod was a collaborator with the Strengthening the Roman Empire Committee (SREC)?

——

The Lounatic jumps in with this insult directed at Moksha, “The nitwit opines again.“

At least I can be a substitute for the professor when Gemli is unavailable. I choose to love him even if he is irascible.
