I suspect soon enough Midgley will start gloating about how spiritually superior he is to all LDS Stake Presidents and several of the General Authorities because Daniel C. Peterson and Jesus Christ himself gave him his 2nd anointing.

Moksha cannot seem to resist the urge to bring the hated for me that he celebrates on his home hate board and exhibited on Gina Colvin blog to sic et non. I urge him to cease doing this, and also cease playing the fool on sic et non. Often what he posts is just disgusting. For example his bizarre opinion that the fake up and down voters are merely some clever fun rather than truly disgusting as Professor Peterson point out to him.

Midgley’s projection of what are clearly his own psychological issues is fascinating. Note that the above was in response to this:

1. I agree that LDS people can be very civil, so that makes my question even more poignant of why some regular posters do no have a mode of proper behavior on this blog. An unending series of insults would not be forthcoming from a civil LDS discourse (Dag nabbit, we have a blog not a discourse!!!)

2. I suppose a predators license would exempt certain posters from normal civil behavior. I liked your example of a wolf and its prey.
No mention of Colvin, no mention of up and down posting, no mention of MD, no mention of playing the fool.

My guess is Midgley knows he acted like a fool on Colvin’s blog and he knows he did it again over the voting, but he can’t admit it so he projects his own behavior, over and over, onto poster after poster after poster. It’s sad.

If the up and downvoting weren't enough to seal the deal already.
Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.

LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

LCM- I suppose a predators license would exempt certain posters from normal civil behavior.
One would have to ask the moderator of Sic et Non for such a license. Apparently Professor Midgley has one in his possession.

In response to a benign post by Dowsin' Dan, Lunatic Lou opens up the comments section with this missive:

"Why is gemli not telling Latter-day Saints that we reject at least the kind of science that Professor Peterson has mentioned today, since those with faith in God cannot possibly both believe in God and entertain a positive view of what he imagines as science. Recently gemli seems to have neglected to pounce on every opportunity to promote his dogmatic scientism. Has his own effort to avoid COVID-19 and, at his age, a possible exit, made him a bit less dogmatic and a bit more thoughtful?"

The reader will note gemli hadn't even appeared in the comments section, and further Lunatic Louis Midgley starts speculating about gemli's health and mortality. His obsession and harassment of gemli is bananas.

His Mormon theology. It completely exempts him so he can act like his own God, mean, contemptible, vicious, and full of hate. He is practicing for his own coronation as god of his own creation. Why wait for then when one can begin practicing to be god here and now? He is Jehovah mini-me, of course.

Today I was watching Netflix’s ‘Hannibal’ and a scene came up that involved pigs. I was reminded of the frequent refrences to this site as sty, and one in particular where Kiwi57 called Dr. Shades the ‘head boar’. So I conducted a quick google using this search parameter:

site:www.patheos.com/blogs/danpeterson/ shades

And came up with this hit, which kind of intrigued me:

https://www.patheos.com/blogs/danpeters ... night.html

In the comments section where Dreadful Dan and his buddies were being absolutely terrible to the congenial Dr. Shades, Lyin’ Louis Midgley made this solemn vow to Dr. Shades:

“I right now affirm again that I will never reveal your name, or anything I may know about you.”

and

“I will say again that I will not reveal his real name.“

Now. We all know that not only has Lyin’ Lou doxxed Dr. Shades, but so has Kiwi57. And Dreadful Dan has let it stand, which is ironic because he said this:

“I have precisely no interest in "doxxing" you.”

Anyway. The entire comments section is psychologically fascinating. Mr. Peterson goes on and on about Dr. Shades’ lack of moderating “the critics”, which might as well be himself talking about his own blog.

To summarize. Louis Midgley lied and doxxed Dr. Shades. Kiwi57 doxxed Dr. Shades. Mr. Peterson has allowed this to stand even though he can remove the doxxing, which he has done on other blog posts where Dr. Shades is doxxed. This is a violation of Disqus’ posting rules.

Interestingly, it was only last week that he made a post about me, in a thread in which I wasn't even present, telling everyone both my undergraduate degree, my specific field thereof, and the institution from which I'd earned it.

So much for the "or anything else I know" part.

I suppose this shows that even the strongest resolves can deteriorate when subjected to failing health and the whisperings of a cantankerous (and stubbornly invisible) old billy goat that follows you around the house asking for carrots and celery and insisting you count every upvote and downvote.

Up bright and early on this Sabbath day, Lousy Lou, who quite often moans about 'critics' coming to Dan's blog to, I dunno, disrupt the Spirit or whatever, calls on gemli to come to Dan's blog to, I dunno, disrupt the Spirit:

"Louis Midgley • an hour ago

I right now demand that our very own Village Atheist make at least a cameo appearance and answer this objection to his very blog item. Yes, I am demanding that gemli try to explain how he is "enlightened," while others are not? What exactly do we make out of the famous Cretan who claimed that "all Cretans are liars"?"

The only thing consistent about Lyin' Lou Midgley is his inconsistency and boorish behavior.

edit: It should be noted that BYU employs a professor who constantly ____ on 'science'. A quote from the blog post that sent Lyin' Lou into an early morning tizzy:

"How can science, a human creation, “deliver” us from an amoral world? And in what would that “deliverance” consist? Can science make us free? Can it create good and evil? I doubt that Gray intends this, but I suppose that science can deliver us from nihilism, amorality, and determinism . . . by vaporizing us."

Vaporizing. Cool.

Lemmie,

I was just going to note that Lyin' Lou Midgley just dropped another whopper in that he said, "... Way back when Jay Todd phoned me to tell me that Elder David O. McKay had just read an essay that had just appeared in print, and that he like what he had read, except my us of the words "Mormon" and "Mormonism." ONE MINUTE LATER I HAD RESOLVED to try my very best to avoid those labels UNLESS I WAS QUOTING SOMEONE ELSE, who have turned out to be critics. Notice that I now am trying to use the label "anti-Mormon," which is difficult to do, I will grant. I am not scolding you, just explaining my preference."

Capitalizing mine.

Lyin' Lou Midgley has used the descriptor 'Mormon' thousands of times, outside of his claim above, over his career. He didn't resolved to do ____. H was just taking the opportunity to be a dick on Dan's blog.

Lou would probably argue with Jesus if Jesus were here, posting on sic et non, politely asking for civility.

"Lord, he would say, your own Apostle told us to not allow any slam dunks from the critics."

Jesus says in response, "My son, this was an example of a man letting his feelings get the better of him. My gospel is not of attack, attack, attack. You should love your enemies until you don't have any enemies any longer."

"But Lord, Lou complains, they're attacking the book of Mormon, saying it's not historical, saying Joseph made it up or had help making it up. They even trash the beloved history of my Maori and their conversion story. We should defend against these lying losers and doxx and expose them for the bigots they are."

The Lord says, "My son, Joseph Smith made it up. He wasn't speaking for me and he had an infidelity problem. I didn't wish for him to be murdered but unfortunately that happened. The movement he created is misguided and now is an agent of persecution under the guise of 'religious freedom.' I'm here to try and correct the wrong."

Lou demands, "Who are you? Where are you posting from? Notice how this guy who claims to be Jesus defiles the Prophet like so many critics, blaspheming and hiding behind a false name. Dan is going to look up your email sent to Patheos right now and we will discover exactly who you are!"

Kiwi57 chimes in, "I always knew this 'Jesus' was an imposter and a bigot, just like those liars from the sty."

Jesus then weaps saying, "Lou my son, until we meet quickly and you see me for who I am and know with a perfect surety of your deeds."

Lou's and Kiwi57's computers shake for a moment and suddenly Jesus is gone.
"Religion is about providing human community in the guise of solving problems that don’t exist or failing to solve problems that do and seeking to reconcile these contradictions and conceal the failures in bogus explanations otherwise known as theology." - Kishkumen

Peterson has very kindly prompted Midgley into adjustIng his story so that it doesn’t clash with known facts:

Moksha, who is not all that swift, and hence his this little zinger has nailed him right in his own bum. Why?

Moksha, whose world is a hate board, does not seem to seem to realize that Elder David O. McKay has passed away. And hence the essay I mentioned was not published in Interpreter, and that Jay D. Todd was the editor of the old Improvement Era.

If Moksha (and also Dr. Shades) will have a look at my essay entitled "The Search for Love: Lessons from the Catholic Debate over Moral Philosophy," BYU Studies 11/2 (1971): 188-200, he will note that by that date I had published essays in the Natural Law Forum, Western Political Quarterly, American Political Science Review, American Journal of Jurisprudence, BYU Studies and the Improvement Era.

In addition, if Moksha will read the essay in BYU Studies, he will see that the essay that Elder McKay read, which led to the phone call from Todd, was published in 1970 in the Improvement Era. Beginning students in universities were or should be to do little research, should they not?

So it was in 1970 that Jay Todd delivered that stern rebuke from Elder McKay concerning my use of words like Mormonism and so forth.

Yes. This message that Jay Todd delivered over the phone took place just prior to his passing. If I remember correctly, my wife wondered if he had read my essay, entitled "The Christian World Awakens to the Neen for Prophets," during the months that it was in the editorial process.

I asked because I know that the anti-Midgley obsessives over at the Shades/Moksha message board have raised an objection previously on that score.

I'm aware of how long the approval and editorial process for the Church magazines has taken since the 1980s, so I'm assuming that it was little different in the 1960s and 1970s.

It was perhaps six months in the editorial process. Jay Todd, who became a friend, explained to me that most of what they published was in the que, after it was approved, for many months, and that my essay had gone through much more rapidly than most that were sent in, rather than those being requested. I was a bit cautious about identifying the tile of my essay because I had a feeling that I would be asking for trouble from those on the hate board.

A few days ago I ran across a post by a friend on Facebook. I thought it was powerful and to the point, on what I was discussing with Professor Midgley before he threw his childish fit. Professor Midgleys reaction to this illustrates to me just what his true feelings are.

Louis Midgley Dr. Shades a day ago
http://disq.us/p/2a8qyoo
....I suspect that it was something that the truly weird Dr. LOD posted on your blog that led to back and forth exchanges I had with the Dr. Velho Burrinho that began in October and took place constantly on sic et non until Professor Peterson finally gave him the boot. Subsequently, Velho Burrinho MD has sent me two email messages. Then more recently Dr. Velho Burrinho sent me a disgusting spam after I sent him photographic proof that I met and immediately befriended Dr. Nathan McCluskey, who is Gina Colvin's husband, and also Dr. Melanie Riwai-Couch, in Christchurch in February, when I was not stalking anyone.
Here is the post I sent.
Benevolent racism feels so kind, respectful and loving that you think you are not racist. Those of us on the other side are always like "WTF did you just say?" All the while you smile and blame us for not accepting your racism as love from God.

Check yourself Utahl. You love this and benevolent misogyny. Check yourself. if ever there was a time for being open to repent and accept the consequences of your sins, the time is now.
-Cheii Moroni
From midgleys answer one can see how he choose to "check himself"

And his "proof" of having business cards. Does not change the optics of his transoceanic stalking of Professor Colvin.
