Colbert does regularly do comedy on the current President. Trump gives him plenty of material.After Trump we need a laugh. Trump is a joke. Colbert is a funny comedian.

I'm a fan of Colbert, but my guess is he would need to be dragged, kicking and screaming, to the White House.

Colbert would bring a better knowledge of the US government to the table than Trump, plus Colbert seems like an honorable guy.
