I agree that there is definitely a shift going on to a right/left corporate party against the rest. Trump campaigned on stopping endless war and bringing back jobs NAFTA took away (populist stances) and enough voted for him to put even him in office. The corporate party is on the wrong side of the issues and is just about saying no to wherever populism comes from, whether from progressives or from libertarians. People are tired of the various coups that the US engineers (Ukraine, Lybia, Iraq, Yemen, and now Venezuela). People are also tired of 40 years of falling or stagnant wages in the face of inflation of basic costs.

Republican Party has Always been Against the Working Class

So Kevin...

1. Please tell me why a Federal Government worker is "entitled" to NEVER be laid off, never have to have his job suspended temporarily, and so many other things that the PRIVATE Sector goes through all the time, people who don't get "back pay", who don't often get their jobs back, etc.? What makes government workers "more special" and entitled to "special rights" than the ACTUAL "working class" of this country? I would submit your Leftist moral philosophy is based on the politics of Envy, breaking one of the 10 Commandments, which is just one of several Leftists break, values which form the basis of Western Civilisation and Law, but Leftists are perfectly fine breaking and destroying.

2. I always wondered how you made your money to do so well and have so much time to rant still. Well, we know at least one of the ways if not the only now. by the way, some good information there I'm going to digest (even if I don't agree with necessarily with all your assumptions and conclusions, though I won't comment on that, haven't digested it yet, will do later.)

So Kevin, given that you are in Real Estate, how come you didn't have any problem with Obama's Regulations which forced all banks that got bailouts which were most of the major banks which "banned" the giving of loans to people who were trying to buy a home from someone who owned a property that wasn't their primary residence, and thus, as a result, the housing crisis was massively magnified due to Obama's Regulation because people couldn't sell their properties even though there were people wanting to buy them but they couldn't get loans to do so? Given that you're into flipping houses, you should have been well aware of this serious problem, and in fact, FACISM being engaged in by Obama and his Administration? I knew several people both purchasers and owners who got screwed by this Obama regulation.

Tell me how Leftists care about the "working class" again, such as the average person who might own an extra property or two to help create a bit of extra income?

3. Actually, we are the Party of ALL Free Men... while the Left doesn't care about the Wealthy unless they support Leftist causes with that wealth. Further, I don't see the Leftist wealthy doing much of anything to benefit the "poor" etc., which the Right does do so.

4. What the shutdown showed is that there is MUCH of the Federal Government that shouldn't exist, and/or should be turned over the States. Of course, remember that what only 25% of the government was even shut down, so most of the government was still running.

5. Why are government workers more "entitled" to their jobs and pay over the 1,000's whose lives are destroyed and prevented from prospering due to illegal immigration? Why is their literal BLOOD mean nothing to you, people who again are the actual "working class"? Deaths, Rapes, and on and on that wouldn't have happened had the illegal not been here. Or what about our resources, the money spent in the dozens of ways related to illegal immigration which should be spend on American's and LEGAL immigrants?

Why is it okay for YOU to have a fence or a door, but you think it's somehow "immoral" for a Country to have one, BOTH of which EVERYONE (Dem's too) used to believe in because it was basic morality and rule of law, Democrats voting for it all and supporting it all before? Why was border security by whatever means necessary before was "moral" but now it's not? Note that even the professionals at the border ALL.... support a border wall and otherwise. Why are you against Professionals, the people who actually KNOW things on the subject? (you do the same thing with guns, ignore the professionals who know all about guns) Do you not understand that the Home is the Micro of the Country's Macro, you do something to one you end up destroying the other. Your every act of usurping basic laws and normal running of a country trickles down to significant impacts which build and build. The more Leftistism enters a country, that you all have gained power, the more it is being destroyed, to where now in the U.K. for example they arrest people for "online hate", which amounts to nothing more than "I don't like Islam, think it's wrong etc." that's now "hate" to the Leftist.

6. What about the fact that your very own "news" media (and likely yourself) falsely call our President and half the country "racist" and "xenophobes" simply because we want to STOP an ACTUAL PROBLEM with one of our borders? Why is the Leftist brain so problematic that you can't understand that there are a DOZEN reasons people want a border wall that has absolutely ZERO to do with race? Why do you not understand that if we had the same problems with the Northern border that we would in fact want a wall there too? Yet they are mostly "white"...

You all started this lying with Obama.... that because we had serious problems with his OWN WORDS historically, his voting, and many other things including the fact it's clear his Birth Certificate is a forgery (no matter whether he was born here or not), as demonstrated by the two media presentations by Sherrif Joe, the preliminary results of the investigation and the final results, you all called us "racist" when our judgments of Obama is because of his LEFTISM, nothing to do with his "race". Were we "racist" against Hillary and John Kerry? Why not? After all, we say the SAME negative things about them...

We are Conservatives (Republicans)... We have NEVER been about "race" in any form save to end racism and given basic rights, which you Democrats OPPOSED, not only did you opposed, but you were the KKK, you enacted Jim Crow, you did the Trail of Tears, enacted Native Reservations, Slavery, Urban Plantations, Welfare etc. all destroying the black family and other people of color, which you now falsely try to put their "victimhood" and the Right, and the "system". The only "system" that has created ethnic poverty etc. is Leftist Laws and actions. The "right" nor the Justice System had nothing to do with what avails some minorities.

House Democrats have introduced legislation to reimburse federal contract workers for their lost paychecks during the shutdown. Custodians, security guards, cafeteria workers and millions of other contract workers missed almost 10 percent of their annual pay because Trump's antics. But not a single Republican member of Congress has signed on to support the bill.

Instead Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans are focused on lining the pockets of their wealthy donors. Earlier this week they proposed eliminating the estate tax, which currently only only applies to estates over $11 million per couple. Once again, Mitch McConnell and Republicans have placed the interests of their donors ahead of American workers.

GOP rejects bill to give back pay to federal contractors, wants to repeal estate tax instead

Not a single Republican senator has joined the effort to give back pay to hundreds of thousands of federal contractors who were unpaid during the partial government shutdown. But the party’s leaders are pushing ahead with a bill to repeal the federal estate tax on behalf of the wealthiest Americans.

Minnesota Sen. Tina Smith and Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley, both Democrats, have introduced bills that would give back pay to federal contractors, who are not entitled under law to be paid after a shutdown as federal employees are, Vox reported.

According to the Washington Post, the total number of federal contractors affected could be in the millions. Federal contractors were barred from doing any business for the government for 35 days, meaning many workers missed out on nearly 10 percent of their annual pay.

The bill would allow agencies to provide workers with up to $965 per week in back pay.

Smith said the bill is an easy fix because federal agencies have already allocated money for the contractor costs but haven’t paid them out.

“If you think about it, they’re paying people for work they would have done but for the shutdown,” Smith told Vox. “In many cases, that money was already budgeted; it just hasn’t been spent.”

According to Vox, the bill already has 20 co-sponsors in the Senate -- but not a single Republican is backing the bill.

Instead, on Monday, three top Republican senators introduced a bill to repeal the federal estate tax, which is paid by fewer than 2,000 of the wealthiest Americans per year.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was joined by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., in sponsoring a bill that fully repeals the tax some wealthy families must pay on inherited wealth, the Washington Post reported.

The Republicans already kneecapped the estate tax in their 2017 tax law, allowing couples to pass on up to $22 million worth of assets tax-free. Prior to the law, an individual could pass up to $5.45 million in assets tax-free.

Under the new law, just 1,700 families per year would be expected to pay the estate tax, the Tax Policy Center’s Howard Gleckman told the Post. The estate tax funds about 0.6 percent of the federal budget in 2018.

While the Republicans renew their focus on helping the rich keep more of their money, federal contractors may still be weeks away from getting their first paycheck of the year.

Janice Morgan, who works at the contracting firm Unispec, which provides staffers for government agencies, told the Washington Post her next paycheck may be up to four weeks away because the company cannot bill the government for work it hasn’t done. She added that her health insurance is in doubt because the shutdown meant her company was unable to pay its premiums.

While the government has reopened, Trump has threatened to shut it down once again on Feb. 15 if Congress does not approve a deal to fund his proposed border wall.

“It feels like we are still hostages,” Morgan said. “I’m just so happy to be going back to work and to be able to get on with our lives because I need our health insurance to fill these prescriptions. But who knows if this will all happen again in three weeks.”
