But hey, the real beauty is that you can think this is "fit" and that is "unfit" all from the comfort of your keyboard.

At the rate things are going you will lose that right long before I will. You can thank Putin for his help.

This is weird. Nothing wrong with thinking that there are good things about your native land (or bad ones either, for that matter) but does subgenius really think that countries other than the US don't have free elections?

Incidentally ... doesn't 'getting on the ballot and being elected' in the US tend to cost rather a lot more money than it does elsewhere, and not just because the electorate is bigger? Do you think that other democratic countries are all eager to go the same way?

If taxes are a burden why do Nordic countries keep voting in social democratic parties

If you give a tax cut to a small business like a coffee shop will they buy a new and bigger coffee machine. ?That would depend on whether they would be getting more customers who had discretionary money to buy a coffee rather than buy a jar of coffee for work. If property rates and water rates and electricity were going up this cuts into ones discretionary spending. I was fortunately years ago to have solar panels installed where now i either have a credit or a small bill. Being on a fixed income in retirement makes one careful. I do not have to worry about medical bills as it is covered by medicare and medicines are subsidized. i am not overweight do not smoke or drink and exercise with my dog.At 74 my doctor cannot find anything wrong with me. But you know it is wonderful to know I will not have to go broke. While I was working my neighbor who retired had open heart surgery. Cost her nothing. My medicare levy along with millions of others paid for that.i may never need that.

Time to mix up the guacamole dip for the Soylent Green, eh? This is something Mitt and Trump can both agree on.

Republicans have been giving lip service to this class warfare for some time, now they have proposed the schedule for their bombings.

I thought this was still in the legislation form. Has it actually been voted on?

Years ago I did a Pol Science subject at Uni where it was a basic introduction to politics. Required reading was Lord of the Flies 1984 and 19th-century social reformer Robert Owen. Another book was by a Pol Science Professor who studied why people voted either right or left. He found those on the right looked at a policy as what is in it for me. So the Conservatives here push tax cuts as 'we are putting more money in your pocket for you to spend as you like" For many it was a about 10 dollars enough to cover a sandwich and coffee. They have to either cut spending or borrow more. The other side say no we want t have more to spend on education and hospitals etc. This according to the Prof are those whose view is what can we do to benefit everyone. Maybe that is why libertarians love Ayn Rand.

Australia and New Zealand are among the 10. Australia is very egalitarian. It is not surprising to see our Prime Minister going to to work in the train or sitting in the front seat of the car with his driver.

The Labor party started super funds for workers whose boards consisted of both employer and union members. They reported greater growth returns than the for profit firms.

How do they keep voting in socialists yet have less debt then the US? They are better fiscal conservatives.

Ausieguy, no one is immune to America's woes. Our demise will lead to a series of small implosions which will cause the world economy to collapse.

Of course, Subgenius, Ajax and this board's business tycoon Bach will tell you that the new rising phoenix will be the residents of Galt Island. While they may not save the day, they will pay in either gold or bottlecaps for organ harvesting - no questions asked.
