Happy New Year from PERFUME! Yes, really. link inside.

Post by _Dr. Shades »

Dear Perfumaniacs,

Less than eight hours ago as I type this, A-Chan, Kashiyuka, and Nocchi uploaded a totally unscripted but fun video of their Happy New Year wishes to all their fans (which includes all of us here on MormonDiscussions.com, obviously). They're using some sort of virtual reality application on their iPads as they do so; you'll know what I mean when you watch the video.

They discuss their plans for the new year and things they'd like to accomplish. They also announce their plan to do another fan club tour (whatever that is), their first in eight years.

Be sure to click on the "CC" button in the viewer so you can see the subtitles. Enjoy!!

Ashes to Ashes

David Bowie

Do you remember a guy that's been
In such an early song?
I've heard a rumor from Ground Control
Oh no, don't say it's true

They got a message from the Action Man
"I'm happy, hope you're happy too
I've loved all I've needed, love
Sordid details following"

The shrieking of nothing is killing, just
Pictures of Jap girls in synthesis
and I
Ain't got no money and I ain't got no hair
But I'm hoping to kick but the planet it's glowing

Ashes to ashes, funk to funky
We know Major Tom's a junkie
Strung out in heaven's high
Hitting an all-time low

Time and again I tell myself
I'll stay clean tonight
But the little green wheels are following me
Oh no, not again

I'm stuck with a valuable friend
"I'm happy, hope you're happy too"
One flash of light but no smoking pistol

I never done good things (I never done good things)
I never done bad things (I never done bad things)
I never did anything out of the blue, woh-o-oh
Want an axe to break the ice
Wanna come down right now

Ashes to ashes, funk to funky
We know Major Tom's a junkie
Strung out in heaven's high
Hitting an all-time low

My mother said, to get things done
You'd better not mess with Shades or Tom

My mother said, to get things done
You'd better not mess with Shades or Tom

My mother said, to get things done
You'd better not mess with Shades or Tom

My mother said, to get things done
You'd better not mess with Shades or Tom
Riding on a speeding train; trapped inside a revolving door;
Lost in the riddle of a quatrain; Stuck in an elevator between floors.
One focal point in a random world can change your direction:
One step where events converge may alter your perception.

I heard this song the other day (first time in a while) and just somehow thought it was apropos. Who else would appreciate Jap girls in synthesis like you Shades? And I think "better not mess with Shades or Tom" is rather catchy.

Backing out slowly now...

Lost in the riddle of a quatrain; Stuck in an elevator between floors.
