Jones won 98% of black women, who turned out in large numbers.
I'm not a Bannon-esque svengali who mines deep wisdom from Nazi literature, but running an explicitly pro-slavery campaign might've been a bad move on Moore's part.

Probably forgot blacks can now vote in Alabama.

Isn't it nice that people of various political affiliations, libertarian, moderates, conservatives and liberals can all come together and revel in the bitter tears of Brietbart? Why I'd almost say that Christmas has come early.
Honestly I think a big winner tonight could actually be the GOP in some regards. They no longer have to try to figure out what to do with the toxic heap that is Roy Moore. It is unclear if passing legislation is all that much more difficult with 51 instead of 52 (the struggle was already very real so the trade off may be OK). And this may finally kick off the alarm bells that allows them to mitigate some damage at least in 2020 if not 2018 (I honestly don't think Virginia woke anyone up).
That said, I'm uncertain how much you can change with President Trump at the helm, but we will see. At least the first two points stand.

I find it interesting that White evangelicals voted for Moore @ ~81%, and White women voted 2:1 for a man who would deny them the right to vote.

There's a robust body of evidence, including some compelling experiments, showing that large numbers of Republicans don't believe you when you accurately describe Republican policy to them. I'd bet the majority of Republicans don't believe the upcoming tax reform bill does what it does.
In that vein, I don't believe most of those women treat what you refer to seriously. It would only hit home if it personally affected them. There are certainly evangelical women who even now oppose women's political participation, but I'm skeptical they are a large % of voters.

A man called Enoch Powell once said 'all political careers end in failure'. It really is not exactly an astonishing act of prophethood to point this out. If you're wrong the first time, then in a democracy there will always be a next time, and so your advance crowing is never entirely wrong.
Zadok:
I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis.
Maksutov:
That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

And now, with an opposing point of view, is John Huston as Noah Cross in Chinatown:
Of course I'm respectable, I'm old. Politicians, ugly buildings and whores all get respectable if they last long enough.
