No, I never played in a game and was only there a year.

I was QB but wanted to play DE. Was never big enough though, for DE in college.

That's still awesome that you played Kevin. I love sports so much. Nothing like the roar of the crowd and the adrenaline rush before the game.

How is the SEC "Alabama and everyone else" and the B1G not be "Ohio State and everyone else"? SEC still has more parity than the Big Ten (B1G).

Since 2009 the SEC has had six different teams ranked #1 for a total of 100 weeks. The Big Ten has had only one team ranked #1 (12 weeks): Ohio State.

Since 2006 B1G teams were in the top 5 final rankings nine times and Ohio State accounted for seven or 78% of those. The other two times was Michigan State 2013-2014. During that same period the SEC was in the top five 18 times. Six of those were by Alabama, or just 33%. LSU and Florida each did it 3 times, UGA and Auburn did it twice and Arkansas and S. Carolina did it once.

In the last 10 years the SEC has had 25 wins against top 10 non-conference opponents and Alabama accounts for 10 or 40% of those wins. The B1G has had just 11 wins over the same period and Ohio State accounts for 5 or 45% of those wins. Five SEC teams have had multiple wins in this category whereas only OSU and Michigan State have done this in the B1G.

OK, so at Halftime Penn St is up 28-17 against Ohio State.

So why do I not feel confident they'll end up winning?

How is the SEC Championship decided if both Alabama and Georgia are undefeated?

Penguin toss.

They are from different divisions so they will play each other for the SEC championship.

This is only what I think the CFP rankings should be at this point. Of course things will change as they always do. Tell me where I'm wrong.

1. Georgia (8-0) Like it or not they're the only undefeated team with a win against a top ranked opponent. They still have games against ranked Auburn and the SEC championship game against #1 Alabama. If they win out, they're in. The loser of the SEC championship could still be in, but this mostly depends on what the rankings landscape looks like at the time.

2. Alabama (8-0) No wins against currently ranked teams. They're passing the eye test but have yet to be tested. It is difficult to know how good their win was against then #3 FSU prior to them losing their QB. They have potentially four ranked teams remaining on their schedule (LSU, Auburn, MissSt, Georgia) . If they win out, they're in.

3. Notre Dame (7-1) only loss was by 1 point to #2 Georgia. Have beaten two ranked teams convincingly and have two more ranked teams left to play, including top 10 Miami. If they win out, they're in.

4. Clemson (7-1) lost to unranked Syracuse when their QB left the game with concussion. But they have beaten three ranked teams and are likely to play at least two more including a rivalry match with South Carolina. If they win out and beat top ranked Miami in the conference championship game, they will have the most impressive resume of any 1 loss team and should be in.

5. Ohio State (7-1) 1-1 against ranked teams. Been blowing out subpar competition all year passing the eye test. Their loss came early to Oklahoma at home. They're consistency is an issue and they're not likely to play another ranked team until their conference championship. If they win out, they could be in if Clemson, ND and/or Oklahoma lose again.

6. Oklahoma (7-1) beat Ohio State decisively at Columbus. Their only loss was to unranked Iowa State. However, that team has moved up quickly in the rankings after knocking off two top 5 opponents (Oklahoma and TCU) so the bad loss is turning out to be a good loss. They still have 3 ranked teams left to play so if they win out they will be ranked over Ohio State because of resume and winning the head to head matchup.

7. Miami (8-0) They've been squeaking by with close game wins against unranked teams all year. Their only chance is to win out with wins against VT and ND. If they do this and win their conference, then they're in.

8. Wisconsin (8-0) They are sneaking by with the easiest schedule of any ranked team. None of the teams on their schedule are ranked and they're not passing the eye test (beating 5 loss Purdue 17-9). They will eventually lose to unranked Iowa or Michigan and then get destroyed by OSU in the B1G championship game. Until then they're a mandatory top 8 placeholder because they're one of only 4 undefeated teams. If they win out, they're in. But that's just not happening.

9. Virginia Tech (7-1) only loss was to top 5 Clemson. They're 1-1 against ranked teams, Their best win coming againsg barely ranked West Virginia. If they beat top ranked Miami and Clemson then they'll be in.

10. Penn State (7-1) lost to the only ranked team they will play all year and nearly lost to unranked Iowa. Without a B1G title game to improve their resume their playoff chances are over.

Well EA, Wisconsin lost but maybe you can take solace in the fact that OSU isn't in the playoffs.
