So let's be quick and break this down:
On Sunscreen - gotta get back to y'all
On NFL League Rules over the Anthem - well here's what the NFL League Handbook states:
The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the NFL League Rulebook. It states:
‘The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition … It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.’
Question: Why hasn't league office enforce their own rules?
Player/Union negotiations on horizon
On Roger Goodell
The extension of Goodell's contract wil, reportedly pay him $44 million/year.
https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/08/21/s ... tract.html)
Is he worth it? Absolutely if the ultimate shareholders (owners) believe so. After all, this isn't a govt contract. And in the end he has raised the salary enrichment for players to their highest level in history w league minimums at about $2.4 million. Not bad.
Is it done yet? NO.
Ironically its public knowledge my buddy Jerry Jones has some issues:

Is he popular w everybody? Definitely not. Players and their union, the NFLPA HAVE ALMOST ASSURED A STRIKE:
https://www.google.com/amp/nypost.com/2 ... ainty/amp/
This is really being seen as the reason Goodell was quick to compromise both his integrity and league rules - an olive branch to the NFLPA and threats of a strike next year. Owners did a short term capitulation as well. One problem though:
Now fans are jumping on to his wagon train of problems! Boycotting the NFL as a result of these protests will be THE huge issue for owners, sponsors, TV revenue and ultimately - those who've caused the entire problem: the players themselves (who will feel the ultimate pay cuts resulting from revenue declines as is already happening).
AND HERE IS THE GREAT HYPOCRYSY FOR GOODELL:
Why is he willing to to compromise his own League Book on rules for the respect on the national anthem (that is a huge issue w Americans) on the grounds of tolerance for free speech and yet be so unyielding to those who wanted to give honor, respect and recognition to our heroes of 9-11 and police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Why was THAT FREE SPEECH suppressed by Goodell? This is the cancer that is exploding within the American people and have huge impacts.

Americans love their sports. But they love their country more. The NFL, ESPN, networks and every major car, beer and shaving blade company are passing bricks right now. As my IB friends are saying in NY: "This ain't even close to worrying about confederate monuments any more!"
On Sunscreen:
This has gotten too long. Have to discuss my sunscreen questions in a different thread!
On Sunscreen, Goodell, The Anthem, Hypocrysy and USA
Re: On Sunscreen, Goodell, The Anthem, Hypocrysy and USA
What is "hypocrysy"? Is it when a bigot like you is crying all the time about nothing? (hypo-cry-sy) Or is it just your failure to spell properly, like your failure to think clearly?
