You could try interval training - that's mostly what i do (for cardio).
Walk for a couple of minutes to warm up. Then run for a minute, and walk for a minute, run for a minute, walk for a minute, etc. Do that cycle 5 or 6 times. Then walk (to cool down) for a few minutes.
You'll burn calories and get your heart rate up. And it'll be easier than straight up running. Also, they say it helps your metabolism in general, so you burn more calories throughout the day.
