As a public service to the esteemed participants here at MormonDiscussions, here are some spelling errors I've seen over the course of today along with their correct forms. I'll be continuing this feature whenever there's a need (and assuming I have enough energy):

wrong: nieve
right: naïve (to get the "ï", type Alt+0239. Or, in Windows, go into your "Accessories" folder and choose "Character Map." Select the "ï", click on "Copy," then in your browser window right-click and select "Paste.")

wrong: dissodance
right: dissonance

wrong: short sidedness
right: short sightedness (since you mean that the person can't see very far, not that his/her sides are short.)

wrong: imput
right: input (Although "imprison" is irregular and uses an "m" for whatever reason, in this case it's a natural "n.")

wrong: Oliver Cowdry
right: Oliver Cowdery

Hope that helps.

Where was this earlier in the day? I looked at naïve for like 10 minutes trying to figure out what the spelling was and I still got it wrong. (Look it up next time Bond!!!)

I just discovered a new word: relicious.

relicious:
1) Pertaining to the taste of the fruit of the Tree of Life from Lehi's Dream.
2) The scriptures--they don't call it the good word for nothing.

Wait just a gol-durn minute.

I thought that douche bag was the female hygene product.

Douchebag or douche-bag is the insult.

Was I wrong in my assumption?

You're right.

You weren't wrong. The latter two are merely misspellings.
