Do you have any concept of the Purpose of revelation at all? Please go do a little study on the subject and history of it, and come back and post again.

I would accept the idea of revelation being clarification on questionable concepts and ideas. But as far as Mormonism is concerned. I was ALWAYS told that it was a complete and total restoration of the truths of heaven. Not a partial thing that needed to be further changed, refined, added to, or otherwise made different than what joseph smith had been told in the beginning. Your definition of revelation means to add to, or take from, the "fullness" of what Mormonism says it represents.

that's why they refer to Mormonism as a restoration of the fullness of the gospell. Not a foundation of the gospel to be built apon through the ages as people are able to follow.

(using an analogy of LDS thought)
Think of spirituality as a glass. Other religions emtied part of the cup, and filled it with what they wanted to. Making it unpure. Others have less empty of a glass, and fill it with other things(sin). leaving out room for god. Mormons would say, that they refilled the entire cup with pure waters of gospell of what it always was. Revelation would only be the act of holding a light to the glass so you could better see the liquid within. Not a method of putting additives within the glass or taking out water to put in what they wanted to, or had to(depending on the circumstances). It turns Mormonism into exactly what they rebuke other religions for.

Good analogy?
