Is there anyone here who really thinks that Droopy's vicious attack belongs in terrestrial? I don't see how.

Shades, wake up!

I thought the same thing but old Saggy is an icon for over the top postings that does not help his cause, he's just not bright enough to realize it. I opt to leave it where more will see it.

I wonder how the other homophobe Wade England is doing?

I read somewhere that he's no longer active in the Church, and word on the street is he finally accepted being homosexual. He's just keeping it quiet.

I find it quite ironic that this comment on Philo's posting was made on a thread where the opening post is about as over the top as one can get.

What is the point? Philo is expressing his opinion, and you're acknowledging he has made good points. His intensity is part of his personality. You suggest that some may be "prone to see life in such a binary, fearful way"; may I suggest that people feeling they have to dial back on their personalities, in order to be proper in their posting behavior and avoid being 'over the top' is just another variation on that.

Is this question rhetorical or shall I give my answer? I guess I'll answer for my own amusement if not for something else.

I'm not sure how my opinion of Philo being a "little over the top" is a suggestion that he should dial back on his personality, nor in anyway a suggestion for him on how to improve his posting behavior. Nor do I think he need to avoid being over the top. I do think that is probably, at least in some measure, what he is going for. In like manner, I tend to assume Dan pokes at posters on this site, including Philo, all because it ups his readership. There's little doubt, with that said, Dan takes his blog posting over the top as well.

I hope that helps, Lemmie. I admit, I'm not sure I understand what you mean in the last point.

If that's true then it's about time. The poor guy has lived a tortured existence.

If that's the case, then someone should refer him to the professionals at the Center for the Study of Sexual Attraction Disorder.

by the way, his name is Wade Englund, is it not?

My impression of Mr Englund was that he had a number of other problems other than his handling of whatever sexual preferences he may or may not have had. One of those problems seems to have been a considerable difficulty in understanding the points that other people were trying to make to him. That sometimes gave the impression, perhaps unfairly, that he was deliberately ignoring or distorting other people's point of view.

At any rate, if he is more reconciled with himself than he used to be, I am glad to hear it. He could be difficult and provoking at times, but I never thought he was a bad person.

Are you referring to the area in front of Bruce's Kayaking Shop on Gentile Street in Layton, Utah?

Oh whew...Seer Stones....well that's a relief...for a second I thought it was 'magic rocks' that they believed in...and that is just a rock too far for me...but seer stones...that makes perfect sense.

Droopy is an LDS guy who lives in rural South Carolina who fancies himself a "serious" Mopologist. He has also never worked a real job in his entire life and he harbors perhaps the biggest inferiority complex on the planet. For whatever reason, he seeks validation in the world of Mopologetics, which seems about as advisable as trying to mine gold from the rear-end of an alligator.

You may be thinking of William Schryver. Droopy has never done any "serious" Mopologetics--DCP, Midgley, etc. consider him a joke and would never let him anywhere near their "publications."

Does he have any evidence--any evidence whatsoever--in favor of that latter assumption?

The most obnoxious of Mopologists are carrying their inferiority complexes like a bag of stones. They are struggling to get attention and approval from church authorities (read parents) who ignore them for obvious reasons. Obvious to everyone but themselves.

Droopy need a sip?

Adam is God (so says Brigham) and girls in Facsimile No. 3 want to ravish you. Droopy, reach forth your hands and grab Isis by her tits. Feel your way around Maat's hips and kiss her passionately for Solomon's sake. Be like Donald Trump and grab her by her . . . .

Then, give your women to Joseph Smith for an offering. Sacrifice all that you have for him because you're his stooge.
