I’m wondering if Scott Lloyd will start a couple of countdown clocks to time which of DCP’s commitments see the light of day first - the two books he promised, or Witnesses.
“When we are confronted with evidence that challenges our deeply held beliefs we are more likely to reframe the evidence than we are to alter our beliefs. We simply invent new reasons, new justifications, new explanations. Sometimes we ignore the evidence altogether.” (Mathew Syed 'Black Box Thinking')
It'll never get finished and some controversy/reasons will be provided as to why this "magnificent" project wasn't completed.
"Religion is about providing human community in the guise of solving problems that don’t exist or failing to solve problems that do and seeking to reconcile these contradictions and conceal the failures in bogus explanations otherwise known as theology." - Kishkumen
Honestly- who has done the best work so far on whether the witnesses are credible and the scenarios in which they encounter the plates realistic and actually took place? Dan Vogel perhaps?
