The Lord defeats Wisconsin

Post by _moksha »

MADISON - Coach Kalani Sitake announced in the after game show that BYU had been granted this win over Wisconsin in compensation for Grindel and Shulem always dissing the Book of Abraham and Professor John Gee. Sitake added, "this interference helps add a sense of wonder to a universe that had grown too rational".

BYU Professor William Hamblin added that it was the most exciting game within the last 200 quarters.

Another reason we can see the Hand of the Lord in this miracle is because it affirms the new Church History "Saints" is accurate to a fault, because coinciding with now winning games, the Lord is winning with history of his own church, finally! Isn't it glorious? Isn't it wonderful?

Just a heads-up, but when Moksha posts a quote, it's a "quote" that he made up. Nobody ever actually said it.

Good for the Cougars. Regardless of my status with the Church, I remain a BYU football and basketball fan.

BYU will never make it to the big time. The Honor Code pretty much ensures that they can't attract non-LDS talent. These days, they often can't even nab top-tier LDS athletes.

So occasional wins over a team like Wisconsin are all we fans get.

Of course, back in the day there was always that fan in Elders Quorum the Sunday after a good win saying how the Gospel is being spread via BYU football. Funny how he never mentioned that all those times BYU had a great season only to get the snot kicked out of them by Hawaii.

Frequently, it is the quote they should have made. Providing such quotes helps in the furtherance of the Gospel, making things more good.

I mean, you’re providing a public service, right? The church should pay you for your efforts.
