Why do you need Mormonism to believe that Science can someday give you everlasting life?

Given that most of the science done in history up to the last 80 or so years has been done by primarily the "Faithful", it would reason that Faith IS compatible with science.

I know for myself one of the primary reasons I'm a Latter-day Saint, and certainly not anything else is because the Latter-day Gospel IS compatible with science and reason. After all, I've used the scientific method to know whether or not the church is true, by being a part of and studying other religions, being in no religion, being anti-mormon and anti-religion, studying those subjects well, comparing and contrasting. Feelings are important but ultimately irrelevant when it comes to fact and truth.

I'm a Saint because it's the real deal, not another man-made malarky. And I know well every anti-mormon claim and belief, but I also know exactly where they fail, lie, misrepresent, etc. So they aren't convincing whatsoever.

Debate can be useful in creating connections to further thought and understanding, but it's really not useful at all in knowing the absolute truth and fact of a thing. This can only be had through the scientific method, in-depth study, experience, and observation.
