Institutionally, the Church reacted swiftly to the revelation on the priesthood. Ordinations and temple recommends came immediately and membership records continued to make no mention of race or ethnicity.
Meanwhile, “the reasons that had been given to try to explain the prior restrictions on members of African ancestry — even those previously voiced by revered Church leaders — were promptly and publicly disavowed.”
Errr...No. They were only publicly disavowed 35 years later. That’s not “promptly”. Pres. Oaks is being deliberately misleading which is the same as lying as far as the Church is concerned.

Oaks cannot rewrite what Google-god has already recorded. All he can do is wiggle like a worm and blow smoke and flash a mirror. He's a lying snake. He's a man with no honor. He is a liar for the Lord.
History has recorded what actually was. Oaks can't change a thing. All he can do is pontificate and attempt to woo his fans into adoring him and riding the Mormon ship if just a little longer.
