Dear participants,

It looks like the moderatorial workload is about to increase significantly. Res Ispa has kindly volunteered to take on the mantle, and neither I nor EAllusion have any issues with this.

NEVERTHELESS--a moderator must have the full confidence of the moderate-ees (at least on this forum; I make no claims regarding the standards at the Mormon Dialogue & Discussion board), so if anyone has any issues with him becoming a moderator and thus having the power to reassign your posts, respond to reports, etc., please send me a private message detailing your concerns.

Thank you for your participation here.

Indeed, that was very kind of him.

Thank you for asking the board what we think. In addition to being thoughtful, it's a very classy move on your part.

Yes, I think Res Ispa would make a splendid moderator.

Peace,

Heck no! I was all for it when it was my idea but that was 2017!

J/K, I think Res would make a very good moderator.

Res Ipsa is no relation to Mormon D&D moderators Nemesis, Hestia, and Gorgonzola, right?

I share Lemmie’s curiosity.

Please enlighten as to the reason why the need for more moderators. I kinda like the freer reign we have here. I hate having to wait to respond to some of the tbm's over at md&d because of the risk of being kicked off if I say what I really think. Here there isn't that and I would hate to see too much regulation.

As far as I know, none of my relatives moderate Mormon Dungeon and Dragon Games. And I think the usual term is Dungeon Master.

I do admire any moderator who chooses a cheese as a screen name. Might change mine to Muenster or something.

'Cause we moderators are about to A) begin the herculean task of splitting all on-topic threads in the plagiarism thread into Lemmie's new thread, and B) respond to all of the reports that the original thread generated.

It really is that simple. :-)

RI would be a good choice for a moderator. RI has my vote in the affirmative.

RI is very even tempered and civil to posters. I think he would be a good choice.

No.

I don't have any problem with Res Ispa, but we need less moderation, not more.

Personally I think this whole "thread derail" complaining is getting out of hand. Let the threads evolve and let them stand on their own merit and i don't think anyone should have to spend time splitting threads including the DCP plagiarism one.

He has my vote. A good choice on my take on it.

If he's willing to do it, I say slap the golden bracelets on him before he comes to his senses. No doubt Res Ispa is an excellent choice. I'm just glad it isn't that Res Ipsa bastard.

Res Ipsa would be fine.

I think we need to oversee the OT stuff a little more and while I am not in favor of rigid and frequent moderation, I also am not in favor in letting a select few ruin any thread they choose.

We do have some rules here and they should be enforced.
