Good catch, Lemuel!

Wendy Nelson gave the worst talk ever given in church history in that presentation.

The only reason it was eclipsed is because her husband got up and immediately topped her for worst talk, claiming with no basis that the November 2015 policy change was revelation direct from God.

Wendy Nelson not only encouraged paying extra tithing in order to make more money next year vis-à-vis the story you quote above, but also implied strongly that homosexuals choose to be gay, and finished it off with a strong implication that Jesus's second coming was just around the corner, and as earnest of this fact, that the Son of God had already met with many of his faithful followers in secret meetings that the world knew nothing about.

It was really quite breathtaking.

But as I say, the horridness of her talk was overshadowed by that of her husband, the soon-to-be Church President.

It's kind of like C.S. Lewis dying on the same day J.F.K. was assassinated.

I predict WW Nelson will be the most prominent & influential first lady since Emma, and not in a good way.

Choyo Chagas is Chairman of the Big Four, the ruler of the planet from "The Bull's Hour" ( Russian: Час Быка), a social science fiction novel written by Soviet author and paleontologist Ivan Yefremov in 1968.
Six months after its publication Soviet authorities banned the book and attempted to remove it from libraries and bookshops.
