ExMormon conference this week, anyone going?

Post by _Mormon Think »

Every year for about two decades, questioning Mormons and former Mormons have been meeting in Salt Lake City for an annual conference to fellowship and learn from others who may be in similar situations. The Exmormon Foundation has announced that this will be the last year for the conference.

Date: 20-22, October 2017
Place: Doubletree Suites, SLC, Utah

No.

the last one?
Due to many factors, the Exmormon Foundation Board has made the decision that the 2017 Conference will be our last one. It's a different EXMO world these days, with such a wealth of information available to those who are doubting and/or beginning their journey out of the church. Exmos are meeting in groups all over the world.

The people doing it have decided to stop because 1) it is a lot of work 2) not as needed now with all the other outlets and meet-up groups people have.

I think that if they decide to continue, they need to have the conferences on the East coast, too.

This would definitely be good...The last time I went, I met people from all over...even Canada and GB...I hope they will change their minds and have at least 2 a year ...in both places. It is a community that brings people online to real life...a different feeling.

I miss my postmo oldie but goodie friends...it was the only way to connect in real life.

Safe travels to those on the way...

I agree. I hope that everyone who is going travels safely. There is no way I could take off work to go.
